About this course.

Helix Cloud Systems runs multi-tenant cloud infrastructure for customers across North America, Europe and Asia, and its site reliability engineers keep that platform inside the commitments customers pay for. This course was designed by Walnut's course studio with Helix's SRE leadership, and it is the onboarding path for SRE hires and the qualifying course for Helix SRE roles listed on Walnut Jobs.

You will learn how Helix defines reliability with SLIs, SLOs and error budgets, how to investigate with metrics, logs and traces using PromQL, how to troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads under pressure, and how Helix runs incidents and writes blameless postmortems. Examples use Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry and kubectl, the same stack you will use on shift.

Who this is for

  • Engineers joining, or applying to join, the Helix Cloud SRE or platform teams.
  • Experienced DevOps and platform engineers moving into an on-call SRE role.
  • Candidates with Kubernetes and Linux experience who want to show incident response capability.

Designed with Helix Cloud Systems for its open roles.

Skills this certificate proves: Kubernetes (Advanced), Linux (Proficient), CI/CD (Proficient), Incident response (Proficient).
